A New Passion
No more quaint little towns, big cities, museums, historic sites or greenspaces for us. We are on a mission to find block ice for our cooler. We've driven nearly 5,000 miles through 12 states and we cannot find block ice. Everywhere we go we look for block ice. Grocery stores, convenience stores, ice houses and a marina with no luck. For a short moment we considered throwing out our condiments and going without an ice chest but after last nights caloric splurge, eating out of our cooler and grocery stores appeals to us. So we'll continue to buy bags and bags of fast melting cubed ice and be happy.

Why buy cubed ice and have to use an ice pick to make small pieces for your drink and running the risk of hurting yourself? As an indication of the culture there you may not know that the Georgia versus Florida football game (played in Jacksonville every year) is dubbed the world's largest outdoor cocktail party.

ReplyDeleteSounds desperate to me and like you are having way too warm weather where you are, laugh!!! I'm just yealous! It is sunny here though today, but only 45 degrees. Yesterday it snowed in Enumclaw and Covington!
Did you find the Walmart and the ice? Important questions left unanswered...
