White sugar sand

Destin and the entire Turquoise Coast is so beautiful, especially the sand.  It really is like white sugar.  We drove 50 miles or so to the east, part of it on a scenic beach loop.  Came across Seaside, Florida, which I know I've read about.  Planned beach community, wonderful homes, central park area -- all on a strip that normally wouldn't look so appealing.  Of course, it helped that for 35 or so of the miles it was all very high end.

In the morning we did the mundane things that must be done -- got the car washed, oil changed, laundry done, reservations and research for our next stops, etc.  Finished the day with a beachside dinner.  And a hunt for an apple fritter for Larry.  We'd heard great things about the Donut Hole Cafe & Bakery but they were out of fritters.  There's always tomorrow!
